Finally, we've got a fancy stand. Like a lot of Revoltech stands, this one is modeled after something that would appear in the character's environment

More like "unlike a lot", there aren't that many figures with special stands (especially in the 100+ figures of the Yamaguchi series), most of them have those black (or clear as of late) "V" stands with the black arm, though lately they've begun using those "burst" stands in addition to the "V" stands.

BTW, why are all of the links in this article being run through Google? Even the links right to ANN are being redirected. Seems a little odd...

This is a really cute figure and a potential buy in the future. I got stuck in the first game though, probably about halfway through and put it off to the side. Maybe I should start it back up again.

Actually, after having just been alerted to that by the guys, I can give you an answer. It's something that Gdocs is doing to my articles every time I save a hard copy and shoot it over to ANN. That's really annoying, Google! What's your problem?

For some reason I chuckled at the look on Layton's face in the third picture.
Layton, my dear friend, the tea is for sipping, not tipping.

If I had more money I'd totally buy this, along with the Figma of King Kazuma from Summer Wars.

Incidentally, you should review the King Kazuma Figma Wink

Really, what this figure is best for is putting it in bizzare situations that would almost never happen in the games.

Sort of like this

and this.

I really wanted this figure and was planning to pick it up at a con, but then never got to a con that had them. But for $14? That's going to be hard to pass up. Something to add to the "buy soon" list.

Rob, you'll be happy to know that as soon as I finished reading your article, I raced over to their site and bought one for myself. I'm only on the third puzzle of the first game! Sheesh!

Now if they just make an Ace Attorney figure, I can have a recreation of the Layton vs. Ace game that hasn't even come out yet, sitting on my shelf! (I am a dork, I know!)

I love RevoLayton so much I actually bought a second one just in case I screwed up the first.

because um, I do some stupid things with him. xD

Luka looks great in his hat though.

So my Leyton came in today. I had ordered him a while back from HLJ, but with other items on hold.
What happened, Revoltech? I think I am the only disappointed person to get this figure!
I must have got one from the discount bin, because he has places where he is so poorly painted. His hat's red stripe, right shoe, hand w/teacup, and blemishes on his happy face. What a waste.
I guess i'll keep my eyes open at the next Con to see a suitable replacement.

Anyone else have issues or was it just me?

Aw man I'm sorry to hear that! I've had the same thing happen with nendoroid figures I ordered online. It's really disappointing Sad

This article also made me buy a Layton figure, which arrived a few days ago. I'm really happy with the figure, although his one hand looks as though it didn't get a good covering of paint, but it's not that noticeable.

Although I'm not a big collector, this is one of my favourite articles so keep up the good work! This is the first toy that I went out and bought afterwards, but that Lupin Revoltech is kinda tempting....
