I was a little bit surprised to know this figure came from the Vocaloid line when the other characters had so much more going for them. Boring is spot on. Even the images on the figma site can't really show the figure (or its advantages) off.
I've a feeling this figure will be around a while, just like the cheerleader versions of Mikuru and Haruhi for the same reasons. Despite the boring offering, I've a feeling it'll still be in my collection... since it'll be the only [bleep] [bleeping] Vocaloid figure I can own easily. Oh, and I now have my entire K-ON! collection (still in the box). Heck, I've not seen this series so I'll just say: if you're a collector, get 'em now. The drummer is getting harder to find. Yeah, when the series finally gets here, I'll know her name. Until then... ooh.... Jan '11 lineup is being released! |

I wasn't overjoyed about the fish accessory either. I mean, it's funny as a novelty item but I'd rather have more facial expressions or something than a plastic tuna.
My main issue with her was how long her neck is, though. I actually had to take a knife to her and trim the neck a little before I was happy with how she looked. |

It might have been better if they offered a tako luka instead of the tuna.

Concerning K-On!
You know, the first volume of the manga is already out, so you can properly learn about Ritsu, Mio, Tsumugi, and Yui. And, back to Luka
Literal "plastic surgery"? |

I don't read manga. However, I do know one thing: you're missing someone. There are 5 girls: 3 on guitar/bass, one on keyboard, and one on drums. Unless there's a special edition figure not available in the manga. |

The first volume of the manga tells us nothing about the fifth girl, because she hadn't appeared yet by its end, or at least, not identifiably. I don't suppose there are any figures of the other characters, not in the band, such as the faculty advisor Sawako Yamanaka? |

The final member of the K-On! band doesn't appear at first, but she appears during the 8th episode. (I think; I haven't watched that far.)
It's such a shame Luka's so boring here. I mean, with all of the rock and jazz songs she has, surely they'd include a passionate screaming face, an angry face, a singing-without-smiling face, and a seductive face. (Not sure how they'd do that last one though...) Now she can't perform Mentai Rocker's songs in front of me without looking fake and cheesy! Maybe the tuna ate her faces... |

Just have to pop my head in and say, that Tuna song is adorable. I've never really liked Figma stuff; I always prefer solid PVC figurines.

That is a bad choice of prop. A girl and her tuna. I'm trying really hard to be good here. Evil_Ming begone!

The toy is pretty cool but at the same time, like everyone else seems to be saying, it looks boring. Flat, I guess. Tako Luka should have been included in here instead of the tuna; either that or they should have done Tako Luka and the tuna.
Meh~ I'm more a fan of the Nenderoids anyway. >w< |

...I must say I'm...honestly surprised at this review, because I couldnt feel more differently about this figure. I thought she was -very- expressive and one of my favourite figmas so far.
I hate to sound rude but judging from these photos it seems like the reviewer didn't even try that hard to try and get expressive poses out of her instead of just making her look silly. I did a review of her here; see my photos if you are interested. I'm particularly proud of that last one. She takes on completely different expressions just depending on how she's positioned. http://moeronpan.wordpress.com/2010/12/06/megurine-luka-figma/ |

Zinger x 2!!! anyway,... yeah, i'm getting a Figma too, not this one though. i'm looking for a couple of poseable anime male+female figures, ... i've got some females i've got my eye on, but, the males are hard to find! by the way, i know there's the Figma series. and the Rovoltech series. do any of you of a couple more poseable series? by that i mean the name of the series that do poseable figures. oh yeah, while looking at these figurines, i was thinking to myself,"hmmm. they can achieve lots of poses, but, there are some limitations to how far certain limbs can fold though." the obvious reason being that its made out of hard plastic, i.e. no figure can sit on there knees like the japanese do on the floor to eat, for example. so i wonder why they just dont make these poseable figurines out of a hard skeletal plastic, then just put some soft pliable plastic for the skin/flesh. so, you can fully pose in any position a real person would take. oh well. one can only dream. |
