Meh at them using knockoff PF Flyers. They should have gone with New Balance (people who make PFs) or Converse for some Chuck Taylors.

Maybe want? I wouldn't ever order something before knowing the price. Also, I've never heard of shoes (other than slippers or something) being in SML sizes. I have super tiny feet so a medium probably wouldn't fit me anyway.

This sneakers are made not walking. This merchandising footwear probably being put in a case and being display along your anime/manga memorabilia for bragging rights.

First thought when I saw the headline: "Of course they are."
Who needs a new series/4-koma when you can put out merch instead?

Note to self: if visiting Japan, be sure to stock extra shoes because "medium" and "large" are value meal sizes, not shoe sizes.
Wait. Large?
I have to say, I'm a bit surprised there's no news article listing the item(s) these girls will not appear on in 2010.
I wonder if these shoes play the songs from the series as they walk.

If they had printed the character's faces on the soles instead of the sides, that would have opened up a whole new market. All the K-ON! haters out there would bought them for the vicarious joy of stomping them into the pavement.

Okay, *maybe* this K-on! merchandise thing is getting a little silly now, but at least sneakers are functional.

So K-ON! will, in fact, grow to the same marketability highs as other Kyoto Animation titles like Haruhi and Lucky Star. Next we'll see credit cards and under ware (it happened with Lucky Star).
But I like this merch idea actually. I really like design shoes which is why I end up buying new limited edition converse every other month. I would love it if I could combined my love for cool looking shoes with anime. But I would prefer a series other than K-On!, I'm just not really a fan of it. I would rather see shoes for shows like Gurren Lagann, FLCL, GITS, Lupin 3rd, Mushi-shi, ext. I would pay good money for a well done pair of anime shoes.

If they make a K-ON debit card, I will order one as soon as they anounce it!
