FINALLY! I finally have figured out how to make t-shirts of anime that I LIKE—not that crap they sell at HotTopic (like Naruto swill), or the limited merchandise that licensing companies offer.
First and foremost, I have to make mention to http://www.craftster.org The people on this site are brilliant, and if you are into cosplay or feel creative, I highly recommend this site. For the shirts, I purchased them dirt-cheap at http://www.blankshirts.com They have a selection of every shirt imaginable. For doing transfers, avoid the Avery crap you find at Wal-mart and go with commercial grade products, which you can find at http://www.dharmatrading.com You can purchase opaque and clear transfers in sheets and rolls. Okay, so here are the pictures: The was my first attempt and I had to tile the images due to the size. It didn’t come out well, and I will be re-doing it probably on white since I love Misaki’s hooters: http://www.ironwarrior.us/anime/100806_misaki01_front_black.jpg NEXT IS NIRVANA! I have wanted an Elfen Lied shirt since I saw the anime. After scanning my collector’s boxes and playing with Photoshop, I got the PERFECT tanktop. Yes, I will be sleeping in this and probably rubbing it on my nether regions later: http://www.ironwarrior.us/anime/100806_elfen_lied_front_tank.jpg http://www.ironwarrior.us/anime/100806_elfen_lied_back_tank.jpg (The crinkling on the rear is due to my body--not the transfer) I’m going to make more, but it took awhile to get the process down. I spent 14 hours last night and didn’t get to bed until 5:00am. I am in sooooo much trouble for neglecting work (ha-ha). NOTE: DO NOT ask me to make or sell you shirts for obvious copyright reasons. All my shirts are for personal use only with images primarily from anime I have purchased. If ADV or other anime companies want to use my designs, I’ll be more than happy to send the designs to them for free since I’m basically “walking free advertisement” for them. Supporting anime comes in more forms than just buying DVDs. EDIT: fix craftster.org link |

Ahhh!! That's why you use the commercial grade material that I used and mentioned above. It is the same (and better in some cases) that the transfer material used for shirts you buy in a store. |
