Good art - just not my style. Not the graphic violence, but things like the background with Lucy & Kohta. Subway scene was crazy, but Kohta's (lack of) response was infuriating. The part with the puppy felt excessive, but was at least tied into the plot some. I'd watch it again, but only with someone else who wanted to see it. |

Really cool flying / surfing mech! With Techno / Electronica music! Oh and there's character development and dramatic action, too. Not quite "masterpiece" level, and some episodes do drag on, but an amazing show. |

let me preface my rating by saying I've never played the game. Despite watching with a friend who tried to explain the backstory along the way, I couldn't get into the plot or characters. I'm sure it was something else for those who played the games - but that's not me. The animation was something else, though - and I really enjoyed the visuals. |

Worth the watch, only 8 episodes long. The animation style is not my favorite though (people look weird / chubby). There are a few gag scenes I could do without too - but the premise & plot I found to be very enjoyable. |

I care about animation style, characters & character development, and plot. This has it all. I don't like shows where some things aren't explained - but I don't like shows that lack suspense. Perfect balance. To date, this is my #1 anime. |

So this movie sucked as a movie. The special effects were impressive, and that made it worthwhile. When I re-watch it, I skip to all the fight scenes or transformations. Optimus being dropped from the plane in the beginning is just amazing visually. |
