It looks like I've triggered an algorithm that has identified me as someone who consistently tries to manipulate the percentages either up or down. Oh, well.....

I try to add enlightening commentary, but let's face it:
I'm far from perfect.

I have seen two three videos that examine the concept of "classics" from distinctly different perspectives:
  1. Gigguk | Garnt Maneetapho

  2. Mother's Basement | Geoff Thew

  3. Bonsai Pop | Mike ?
EDIT: 2020-04-11
In this video YouTube user Gigguk (Garnt Maneetapho) talks about SAO in the context of gateway anime.

Seen/Read All (public list) Rating
Medaka Box (TV) Very good (dub), Excellent (sub)
I would've rated this at 9/11 (very good), but I bumped it up one rank because I admire Medaka Kurokami's ideals.
Medaka Box Abnormal (TV) Good (dub & sub)
Shonen brain candy!
Would have rated the sub at 9/11 (very good) but The Ending Is Paramount and that last episode is just bizarre.....
(The) Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (TV) Good
"Why Was the Haruhi Suzumiya Series a Big Deal?" by Kim Morrissy
Memories (movie) Very good
An anthology of three very different movies. Art house film.
Theron Martin's review
Metropolis (movie) Very good (dub & sub)
Millennium Actress (movie) Decent
Mirai (movie) Good (dub), Very good (sub)
Mirai Nikki (OAV) So-so
08:43
This is a summary/synopsis of the series. It would be fair to call it a promotional video (PV).
Miru Tights (ONA) Very good
    12 ep.s (+1 OVA)| <5min.s/ep.
  1. Girls' 1st day of the school year.
  2. Posting cosplay selfies online during Golden Week. (Evidently the homeroom teacher has a 2nd job?)
  3. Ripped tights.
  4. Ren's part-time job at the café seems to be attracting horny boys.....
  5. Forgetting to wear underpants when your swimsuit is drying.....
  6. Japanese Tea Ceremony
  7. Raging Teen (Boy) Hormones
  8. Foot (sole) Massage
  9. Cat's-eye view of underpants & tights
  10. Sister/Brother Ecchi
  11. Valentine's Day Ecchi
  12. The Girls plan their own "senior trip". I'm surprised by just how sweet/affectionate I found this last episode to be.
  13. OAV| Ecchi photoshoot.
Gotta say ─ I think this series demonstrates the sexism of Japanese culture.
Miss Bernard said. (TV) Masterpiece
I rated it at 11/11 because:
1. It's about bibliophiles; and.....
2. At 3 1/2 minutes per episode, the entire series can be finished up in <1 hour. Just take the time to find out what you think!
Miss Hokusai (movie) Excellent
  • For all of its colorful palette, the plot is surprisingly muted. (Not that that's a bad thing.....)
  • Bitersweet ending.
  • The OST is odd.
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (TV) Excellent (dub), Masterpiece (sub)
  • It's really difficult for me to decide between rating it 10/11 or 11/11.....
  • Screw it: I keep on wanting to rewatch it ─ when I've already rewatched a number of times! So I'm rating the sub at 11/11 and the dub ─ which actually isn't half bad ─ at 10/11.....
  • For me, what makes something a Masterpiece (11/11) is that I continue to rate it as such in spite of any serious mistakes that occur. (see Sword of the Stranger and Violet Evergarden)
  • I must remember to check out the manga.....
Pros:
  1. The OP is one of the few songs that had me bopping my head to the beat the very first time I heard it!
  2. Nice OST!
  3. The watercolors and OST remind me of Bunny Drop.
  4. The humor is surprisingly effective!
  5. This anime is not set in a high school!!!
  6. The last episode has me tearing up.
Cons:
  1. Tohru said that that she was born into the Chaos faction. So why is her father saying that that the reason she has to return to his realm/dimension is because chaos might ensue if other dragons come here? It doesn't make sense.
  2. Riko Saikawa's romantic feelings towards Kanna Kamui are simply not credible.
  3. Dub Criticism: Sometimes the lip flaps didn't match up.
  4. In episode #1, Tohru says that that she can see through objects (to find items); but in episode #3 she does not do so vis-à-vis the moving boxes.
