(Crim) Eminent Japan Developer Releases Early Access ‘Starnaut’ Action Shooter
(Japan) February 14th, 2024 Tokyo developer crim Co. Ltd is pleased to announce that their next game, the roguelike shooter STARNAUT, is available now on Steam Early Access. This 3D action game, a space epic, is led and created by Sawaki Takeyasu whose CV includes Devil May, Okami, Steel Battalion.
STARNAUT is a game where the main character is Starnaut, an astronaut who travels alone. The Earth has collapsed and humanity has become extinct. An Omega rocket loaded with the Earth's records has landed in the multiverse, and, if successfully launched, it will be possible to regenerate the Earth… someday!
In STARNAUT players face off against an ever-increasing horde of enemies in different environments in the multiverse. Starnaut can equip up to eight different weapons at the same time and attacks "almost" auto. If you are confident in your skills, you can also attack yourself in TPS style.
Additional weapons can be purchased by visiting the shop with money that's obtained from defeated enemies. In addition, weapon enhancement items are also sold in the shop, and you can complete battles while strengthening them according to your play-style. In addition, the coins you receive when you complete a stage can also be used to upgrade your spacesuit and buy new helmets.
