While sticking to the world view of the anime, “Another Self” fully reflects Akane Kumada's current state of mind and her understanding that facing oneself and accepting one's weaknesses is a source of growth. It is an ambitious song with a relaxed tempo that features the latest pop sounds combined with a Lantisesque sound from the past. In addition, the single includes “Take My Chance” featuring Kaede Higuchi, who sings the anime's opening theme song. This track, with its punk vibe and engaging call-and-response elements, is the kind of song you'd definitely want to experience at a live concert. Be sure to give it a listen!

In conjunction with the release, a lyric video for “Take My Chance” has also been released. This marks the first-ever appearance of Akane Kumada as an illustrated character in a music video, especially created for this song. The video wonderfully captures the song's essence with a vibrant pop style, and we highly recommend giving it a watch.
