ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos Launches DLC On Oculus Quest on June 10 Nobuhiko Okamoto Joins Cast of the DLC
TOKYO – June 1, 2021 – ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos, the sci-fi, anime-style adventure with a twisting narrative and difficult player choices developed by the industry professionals at MyDearest Inc., will launch its DLC, ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos EPISODE YAMATO, on June 10.
The main story, ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos, released on the Oculus Store for Oculus Quest and Rift devices on Dec 3 in 2020. Since then, it has won the 2020 Famitsu/Dengeki Award in the Adventure Category and become one of the top-rated apps on the Oculus Store.
Two hundred years after the events of the first game in the series, TOKYO CHRONOS, colossal aliens known as Meteoras have driven humans into the underground city of Augmented Tokyo. Amassing their forces to fight back, human armies deploy Makhia, giant mecha mounted with Rail Cannons powerful enoughto destroy the alien invaders.
Play as Lieutenant Chloe, an advanced android and humanity's best chance at returning to the surface. Fight in exciting mech battles alongside Noa, an AI assistant who resembles Chloe's departed friend, Coco.
Chloe hopes to avenge her friend who was devoured by the Meteoras. But Noa's and Coco's personalities are nothing alike, resulting in a complicated relationship between the Lieutenant and her AI, with Noa trying to fulfill both her roles as an aide and a pop singer.
From taking part in mecha battles and exploring Augmented Tokyo to interacting with colorful residents and tuning into cyber Noa's 360-degree J-pop concerts - discover a visual narrative with numerous branching paths and multiple endings using the Libra system. The Libra system points out impactful choices and unvisited story branches. Uncover all the threads of the 15-20 hour campaign using the Ariadne system to return to past decisions and rewrite humanity's fate.
In the new DLC, ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos EPISODE YAMATO, you will play as Second Lieutenant Yamato Amanagi, a member of Prometheus and pilot of the Ares Makhia. Chloe tries to escape from Prometheus with Anima, but Yamato stands in her way carrying the hopes of his comrades - to bring her back or die trying. The Swordstrike system, the awesome power of Ares Makhia's sword, will provide you with new interactive experiences, taking approximately 2 hours to complete all of the story branches.
Additionally, Nobuhiko Okamoto will join the cast as Ares AARC, an Artificial Augmented Reality Crystal loaded on Ares Makhia, for the Japanese voice acting. He's well known for his roles such as Katsuki Bakugō (My Hero Academia), My Hero Academia (Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World), and Accelerator (A Certain Magical Index).
ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos EPISODE YAMATO will be available for Oculus Quest / Oculus Quest 2 on June 10 for $9.99 featuring English and Japanese voice acting and Chinese (Simplified), and French subtitles. It will be available for other platforms in the future, with release dates to be announced at a later time.
