SaikouCon 2019 Welcomes Yellow Megaforce Power Ranger Ciara Hanna as Guest of Honor

12/10/18 Allentown/White Haven, PA – SaikouCon is a three day, anime and cosplay convention located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. SaikouCon, which means "best convention", is the annual anime convention of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountain area with several side events in the Lehigh Valley, boasting a dedicated staff of longtime Japanese anime and manga fans. SaikouCon builds programming made to make memories every year, always striving for panel diversity and a balance between Japanese Pop Culture, Classical Japanese Culture, Cosplay, fun and games, original music, original music, and more original music!

The convention will always remain very hands on and attendee friendly every year, while also maintaining a safe atmosphere for attendees to enjoy the convention to their carefree fullest. SaikouCon promises to remain an all inclusive event where all are welcome to enjoy the fun, friendship, and saftey the con has offered in the past. As always, Cosplay =/= Consent is a very important issue to the staff of SaikouCon, and the same rules and regulations that made SaikouCon Years 1-6 safe havens for cosplayers will be enforced just as strictly at SaikouCon 2019.
The convention is excited to welcome Ciara Hanna as a Guest of Honor to SaikouCon 2019! Ciara is best known as Gia Moran, the Yellow Megaforce and Super Megaforce Ranger, the 20th and 21st anniversary seasons of the Power Rangers franchise. Ciara has also been seen in television series such as Hawaii Five-0, New Girl, Anger Management among others of note; she has also appeared in music videos for Blessthefall and Sum 41. As well as appearing in horror film Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys and played the role of young Heather Locklear in made-for-TV film The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story. SaikouCon's staff are all mega excited, super mega even (see what we did there?) to have Ciara as a Guest of Honor for 2019, and they hope you are too! Welcome to the Saikou Family, Ciara!

WildSpice previously joined the convention in 2017, and they're happy to have the Philadelphia, PA based cosplayer and photographer back for 2019! WildSpice will helping out with some of the con's new cosplay events this year and may be presenting a panel or two also. When not cosplaying or gaming (make sure to catch her streaming on Twitch!), WildSpice is also a skilled photographer, with a portfolio that includes not only cosplayers and cosplay events, but social events, weddings, and more as well. The age designations do away with the need for parental consent forms for SaikouCon guests age 13-17, attendees 12 and under receive free admission but MUST be accompanied by a SaikouCon Badge Holding Attendee chaperone age 18 or older at all times! SaikouCon is family friendly, but is not designed for young children under 12 to fly solo. Pre-registration closes July 20, 2019 at midnight (the midnight going into Saturday July 21 not 12:01 AM on July 20 to clarify), there will be no extensions this year, so get the pre-reg savings while you can! There will also be no price jumps during the pre-registration period this year! Full registration details at the link provided above, please review before registering to attend SaikouCon 2019. VIP Registration is only available during the Pre-Registration period in advance of the convention once more this year, VIP Registration closes on July 7, 2019 at 12 AM.
