Robotic Doll, "Dollfie® Honey Hatsune Mikus" Debuts at Anime Expo 2017
A new entertaining, moving doll called“Dollfie® Honey” has been developed in an experienced joint collaboration between robotics company Speecys Corp. and doll / figure company VOLKS INC.
Speecys Corp. founder Tomoaki Kasuga was involved with development of AIBO, the beloved robotic dog. By using experiences gained from both parties, the Dollfie® Honey was born.
VOLKS, Inc. has collaborated with Speecys Corp. developers of the “AIBO” (Artificial Intelligence Robot) to create a new innovative and entertaining way to enjoy Dollfie® called the “Dollfie® Honey”.
A special “Hatsune Miku” version of the Dollfie® Honey will be making her North American debut at the VOLKS USA Booth #600, "Anime Expo 2017" held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 1st to July 4th.
■Dollfie® Honey x “Hatsune Miku”:
Dollfie® Honey is a self-moving doll with a body height of 60 cm and has the freedom of about 28 degrees of movement. It's appearance is easily customized due to it's soft outer skin and compatibility with Dollfie Dream® heads and costumes.
The Dollfie® Honey is equipped with a RaspberryPi 3 CPU board powered by Linux and movements can be created with “MikuMikuDance”. (The same as other models created by Speecys.)
VOLKS INC. is proud to announce that Dollfie® Honey and “Hatsune Miku” will be working together to bring a dream collaboration to life. The amazing self-moving Dollfie® Honey, combined with the charming cuteness of “Hatsune Miku” will work harmoniously to redefine the meaning of “moving dolls”!
