"Koe no Katachi" aka A Silent Voice debuts on the Top 5 at Mexican Box Office

The movie based in the manga of Yoshitoki Ōima debuts at #5 at the Mexican Box Office with limited screenings through the country

Mexico, Mexico City - May 9th, 2016 - "A Silent Voice" debuted this last Friday in Mexican theatres in 100 cinemas; the film based on the Manga written by Yoshitoki Ōima landed a #5 on the National Box Office with $5 million pesos and became the fourth movie distributed by Contenido Cinépolis and KEM Media to enter the Mexican Top 10 after Naruto The Last, Boruto and Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale. The movie was well received among anime fans and praised by media and critics who became enchanted with the subject of the film, the humanity of the characters and the gorgeous animation.

"A Silent Voice" will continue its successful path with limited screenings in several Latin American countries on May and June.

"A Silent Voice" is a heartfelt story about regret, redemption and friendship. When Shoya was a little boy he bullied Shoko his new classmate whom was deaf. The bullying continued and escalated until Shoko switched schools. Many years later, a tormented Shoya wants to see her again and ask for forgiveness. Will she be able to forgive him or will it be to late?
