Anime Midwest To Host Sushio, Hiromi Wakabayashi, and Shigeto Koyama
Rosemont, IL - June 1, 2016 - Anime Midwest is honored to announce it will host three key creators of the hit anime series "Kill la Kill" at its convention in Chicago in July. Character Designer Sushio, Creative Officer Hiromi Wakabayashi, and Outfit Designer Shigeto Koyama, will all be participating in Anime Midwest this year.
Sushio, of TRIGGER, is known to anime fans especially for being the character designer of renown anime Kill la Kill. He's done key animation in many popular anime including Berserk, Cyborg 009, Dead Leaves, Digimon Tamers, Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, Panty & Stocking, One Piece, and many many others.
Hiromi Wakabayashi is creative officer on Kill la Kill, and has worked on a number of anime including Guardian Hearts, Gurren Lagann, Little Witch Academia, Panty & Stocking, Space Patrol Luluco, and more.
Shigeto Koyama of TRIGGER is known for many works, but best known to anime fans as outfit designer for Kill la Kill. He has also worked as concept mecha designer of Baymax for “Big Hero 6” and Mecha and Weapon Designer for “No More Heroes” on the Wii. Anime credits include key animation in Evangelion, design in Eureka Seven, and more in Panty & Stocking, Star Driver, Heroman, and Gurren Lagann, among others.
Anime Midwest is a 3-day anime convention held annually in the suburbs of Chicago near O'hare airport. This event features guests from the anime industry, voice actors, musicians, and more. Over 12,000 people are expected to attend from July 8-10, 2016. The event takes place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and Hyatt Regency O'hare hotel.
