Actress Mary Elizabeth McGlynn & Trifecta for Zenkaikon
RICHMOND, VA, USA - APRIL 18th, 2014- Zenkaikon Entertainment, Inc. is proud to welcome musical guest/ band "Trifecta" Ft. DJ Jesse James Felice, Violinist Johnny Benson, and the voice talents of Director/Actress Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.
Like the paints on a palette used to create a magnificent painting, Trifecta is the culmination of 2 and sometimes 3 different types of artists, each with different musical backgrounds. By combining their talents as individual performers into one entity, they seek to bring a fresh new take to the world of dance, theater, and musical genre.
With Pioneer DJ Paul Oakenfold as his inspiration for trying new things, Jesse James Felice has been carving out his niche as a DJ and artist by working with Actors, Musicians, and Writers to create elaborate theatrical musical experiences that go beyond normal electronic dance music events. For the past couple of years Jesse James has been working with various actors for his "Cinema sets.” This includes Director/Actor Richard Epcar, known for for playing the Joker, Batou from Ghost in the Shell, and for his work on Anime Mid Atlantic's "elecTRONic Mayhem" series, a tribute to TRON and the "Electric Mayhem Band" from the Muppets. Christopher Macdonald, CEO & Publisher for Anime News Network called it "really awesome." Actor Travis Willingham stated "It's a very impressive production quality being put forward."
This time around Trifecta is collaborating with Actress/ Disney XD Director Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, set to reprise her role as "The Major" from Ghost in the Shell. The script, written specifically for Mrs. McGlynn by Jesse James Felice & Rob Lantz, is set in the time shortly after “The Major's” "Individual Eleven" case. She has been explicitly chosen for a mission by the European military outfit known as "Unit." Little does she know what working with the unofficial member of "Unit" known as "The Doctor" will entail. This will perhaps be her most difficult mission yet... against a new breed of "Cybermen."
In commemoration of Zenkaikon's fairy tale theme this year Trifecta and Mrs. McGlynn are working on a 2nd Cinema Set, a story of dragons and castles and heroes, told in a radical new way.
DJ Jesse James Felice - In addition to being invited to tour with a DJ that's been involved with International DJ's Tiesto and Eric Prydz, his work has been reviewed by Author Robert V. Aldrich and Suzie Del Vecchio, a singer touring with world renowned DJ Paul Oakenfold, in short she had this to say "Jesse's work is beautiful." In his review Author Robert V. Aldrich wrote "You know that one song you leave the club thinking about, that one that has you saying 'man, who did THAT mix?'; that's Jesse James Felice. Each of his mixes is a unique experience, a vibrant reminder of the beauty of music. Jesse's work is a dialogue and an exploration that DJ and audience take together, perfectly set so that the music becomes a modem for a larger, grander experience. Any fan of music, regardless of their preferred genres, owes it to themselves to check him out. If you learn he's DJing a party or dance near you, you should definitely make sure to go check him out. For music that is as innovative as it is entrancing, you will find no one better.”
Violinist Johnny Benson - At 4 years of age he took to the Meyerhoff Concert Hall Stage in Maryland, USA, from there he was hooked. He was classically trained in the renowned Suzuki program and the conservatory theory. At 12 he became the youngest member of F.A.M.E., ultimately touring abroad with them. He has performed with the Gettysburg, Delaware, and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras. While studying at the University of Austria Johnny Benson performed with world renowned musicians, and in the concert halls of Graz, Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, and Oberzeiring.
Zenkaikon is a 3 day anime convention held at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Pennsylvania,
