Texas Toku Taisen Tokusatsu Film Festival; New Video, Guests and Packages
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- November 15, 2013 The first Texas Toku Taisen organized by Mecha Gorilla and Alamo Drafthouse, will take place at the Park North Alamo Drafthouse location ( 618 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78216) on May 15, 2014. The Texas Toku Taisen is a film festival dedicated to showcasing the history and presence of the Japanese film genre tokusatsu here in the US. The festival will show over 18 different movies in three different screening rooms, each room ending with the premiere of Legendary Film's release of Godzilla. The festival is primed to have vendors tables established for Heroes and Fantasies, a partner in organizing the event, and Game Over Videogames as well as live panels from Matt Frank of IDW's Godzilla: Rulers of Earth and many fan subbing groups, fan communities that export English subtitles for tokusatsu films and television, such as TV-Nihon.
