Mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki and Novelist Kaworu Kurosaki to Appear at Otakon Vegas
Las Vegas, NV(November 7, 2013) – Otakon Vegas is pleased to announced their first Japanese Guests for the inaugural show – mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki and novelist Kaworu Kurosaki.
Born in Tokyo on May 26th, 1970, Nobuhiro Watsuki is a mangaka (manga artist). In 1987, he made a professional debut by winning the Osamu Tezuka manga award with his work, Teacher Bon. In 1994, he started the serialization of Rurouni Kenshin in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. His other works include Gun Blaze West, Buso Renkin and Embalming. Watsuki's only previous appearance at a convention the US was in 2002.
Born in Kanagawa on January 26th, 1969, Kaworu Kurosaki is a novelist & homemaker. In 1994, she made a professional debut with a fantasy novel Tenshitachi no Wakusei (The Planet of the Angels). She not only collaborated with her husband on the stories of Buso Renkin and Embalming, but also worked on the novelizations of these titles. Kurosaki's last appearance was at Otakon 20 where she curated a gallery of Rurouni Kenshin artwork.
Otakon Vegas 2014 will be held January 3-5 at the Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
