Nylon Pink to Headline the Saboten Anime Convention at the Glendale Renaissance Hotel
Fresh Off of Their US/Asia Tour The Sensational Pop-Rockin Girls of Nylon Pink Are Set To Take The Stage At This Year's Saboten Con
Los Angeles, CA - Starting on Saturday August 31st through Sunday September 1st, Nylon Pink will headline Saboten Con, which boasts itself as Arizona's largest anime convention. From convention Chairman Greg Fennell, “We started Saboten Con in 2008 with a simple mission “Make a convention for the people” and 6 conventions later we are living to that original mission. Our focus is about bringing an amazing convention to our attendees that they will remember for years. This year is no exception, we added more Japanese Pop-Culture programming as we shift to being not only an Anime Convention, but also a Japanese Pop-Culture Convention. We also added a new music track called SaboLive where we will have bands from all over come and play.”
Nylon Pink is an edgy pop-rock band formed in Hollywood California. They have been called one of Los Angeles's sexiest, glitziest bands by LA Weekly, picked as 2011 Artist on the Verge by ReverbNation and The New Music Seminar and were just nominated for Pop Artist of the Year by the LA Music Awards.The girls have just released their new EP, with songs already featured on MTV & Oxygen. The girls just recently played an event in Shanghai for Havaianas as well as this year's 2013 K-CON: K-pop music convention in Los Angeles among the biggest names in K-pop music. The girls have partnered with Hard Rock Cafe this past year for an Asia tour, and are appearing in a new feature film starring Mischa Barton, as well as recent full page spreads for FHM Spain & Asia.
Nylon Pink is comprised of lead vocalist Kaila Yu, bassist Kit.E.Katt, lead guitarist Kiki Wongo drummer and Jamie Scoles. Nylon Pink formed around two years ago with core members Kaila Yu and Kit.E.Katt. The additions of guitar shredding Kiki and killer drummer Jamie make Nylon Pink the only all girl Asian-American pop/rock band in America today. With driving hooks, catchy riffs, and a cute but deadly image, Nylon Pink is set to conquer the world.
