Crunchyroll to Add Oreimo Second Season OVAs This Summer
The leader in Anime and Asian content keeps the good times rolling with the addition of Oreimo2's OVAs this summer for a special two-week exclusive screening
San Francisco, Calif. (June 18, 2013) – Crunchyroll, Inc., in partnership with Aniplex of America, will simulcast the three (3) OVAs from this season's OREIMO 2 (its full title being: Ore no Imōto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai) at the same time as the Japanese internet broadcast on August 17, 2013 at 9 pm Pacific Time. More information can be found on www.crunchyroll.com/oreimo.
This will be a limited screening event between August 17 and August 31 this year. Premium users will be able to view all 3 OVAs immediately with free users able to view it one week after immediate Crunchyroll broadcast. Moreover, from July 17 to August 31, both the regular season of OREIMO 2 and its corresponding OVAs upon its August 17th broadcast on Crunchyroll, will be available to world-wide audiences except for those in: Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Algeria, Monaco, and Tunisia.
OREIMO2's original cast returns with heavy-hitting voice actor Ayana Taketatsu, notably known for her roles as Azusa (K-ON!), Éclair (Dog Days), and Tsugumi (Guilty Crown), and Yuichi Nakamura, whose versatility has propelled him to the upper echelon of voice acting, landing him leads in hit shows like Macross Frontier, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Fairy Tail, Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi, and Shugo Chara.
“Kyousuke Kousaka is a high schooler who has been leading a quiet, humdrum life. However, his life is turned upside-down when his little sister, Kirino, comes to him for 'life counseling.' It turns out that Kirino, a well-rounded winner in life, has many otaku-ish hobbies and loves anime and games. Kyousuke sincerely takes on Kirino's request to tackle life counseling.
And so, as more and more people get involved--including Kuroneko and Saori Vageena, whom Kirino met via social networks; Kirino's friends, Ayase and Kanako, and Kyousuke's childhood friend, Manami--changes to their icy cold brother-sister relationship begin to appear. After overcoming the crisis of Kirino suddenly leaving to study abroad, what kind of craziness will her ‘life counseling’ cause next!”
Episodes can be accessed from Crunchyroll.com, the free iPhone and iPad application, the Android application, Windows Phone, PS3™, Xbox LIVE®, Panasonic TVs with Viera Connect, Roku, Boxee, Google TV, Samsung TV, Vizio VIA, WD TV Live, additional set-top channels, and affiliate partners.
