Chicago Anime Con Announces 2013 Musical Lineup

Rosemont, Illinois - November 7, 2012 - This July three famous musical guests are slated to perform at Chicago's anime convention, Anime Midwest. Carnival and Noir rockband V is for Villains, original Nerdy rapper YTCracker, and the next generation Nerd Superstar Doctor Awkward will all be performing at Anime Midwest from July 5-7, 2013.
V is for Villains is a new breed of entertainment, mixing the visual styles of Steampunk and Carnival and Noir with the musical taste of Nine Inch Nails, Prodigy, and your favorite film score. V is for Villains takes fans on a journey through the imagination, ready to light the world on fire. YTCracker is a rapper, former cracker, and Internet entrepreneur. YTCracker began producing rap music in 1998 in the genre that has since become known as nerdcore hip hop. YTCracker is a self-proclaimed “jack of all trades”, also making a name for himself as a professional disc jockey, computer programmer, graphics designer and webmaster. Dr. Awkward is a Nerdcore rapper with several hit songs and performances at Nerdapalooza and after parties at Comic Con, Florida's Nerd Invasion, and Texas' Comicpalooza. In 2009, Dr. Awkward released his first solo project "Next Gen," in which Doc proclaims that he is the future of Nerdcore Hip Hop. The EP was hailed as an instant classic, with hits like "Geekquilibrium" and "Imposter." Anime Midwest features three days overflowing with events, panels, autograph sessions, cosplay events, concerts, dances, balls, and beyond, even including a ConSweet filled with UNLIMITED free Ramen, Rice, and Soda.
