Genericon XXVI To Be Held the Weekend of March 1-3
TROY, NY (September 14, 2012) – Genericon, the annual student-run anime, science fiction, and gaming convention held at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, will hold its 26th convention the weekend of March 1-3, 2013. The theme for this year's con will be PostApocalypse. The staff of Genericon XXVI look forward to seeing their attendees next year in what remains after the end of the world.
ABOUT GENERICON: Genericon is an annual, student-run sci-fi, anime, and gaming convention, the oldest of its kind in the United States. For 26 years, it has been run by student staff and volunteers at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute campus in Troy, New York. The convention features a 24-hour video game room, anime and sci-fi screenings, role playing games, a cosplay contest, vendors, artists' alley, panels by special guests and fans, a concert, gaming tournaments and more.
