Anime Midwest 2013 Comes To Hyatt Regency O'Hare
Rosemont, IL - August 14, 2012 - Anime Midwest is excited to announce that the Chicago anime convention will be held July 5-7, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency O'hare in Rosemont, Illinois. This three-day event brings together fans of anime, Japanese culture, and video gaming to a weekend of events, panels with special guests, anime vendors, and cosplay contests. Since its first year in 2011, Anime Midwest has consistently brought fans special guests and events never before seen in the area.
The third annual Midwest anime convention will be one of the most exciting events to come to Chicago. Last year's convention guests included Greg Ayres, Nabeshin, Jamie Marchi, and many others including Lolita fashion designers and several performers. Organizers are planning an even larger guest list for 2013.
Anime Midwest 2013's featured events will include a date auction, formal fantasy ball, an exhibit hall with anime merchandise, anime screenings, many cosplay contests, video game tournaments, two rave dances, cosplay photoshoots, and multiple panels and events.
"Our biggest goal is to fill the weekend with as many panels, events, and activities as possible," said junior organizer Molly Blue.
Registration information for Anime Midwest 2013 will be featured at www.animemidwest.com/register within the next couple of weeks.
Last year's Anime Midwest drew nearly 2,000 attendees to the Wyndham Hotel & Conference Center in Lisle, IL. Organizers are excited by the opportunities that come with being closer to the popular O'hare airport and local train stations.
