Crunchyroll to Announce Spring 2012 Simulcast Lineup
San Francisco, Calif. (March 28, 2012) –Starting this week, Crunchyroll will announce new simulcast titles for the spring 2012 season. More information can be found on www.crunchyroll.com/lineup.
The following titles from the winter 2012 season will continue for the spring 2012 season: BODACIOUS SPACE PIRATES, FAIRY TAIL, HUNTER X HUNTER, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN, RECORDER AND RANDSELL, SKET DANCE, and THE KNIGHT IN THE AREA. FATE/ZERO will be rejoining the simulcast lineup from the 2011 fall season.
Crunchyroll's COO Brady McCollum said, “We are very excited about the spring 2012 season and offering Anime fans access to the majority of titles being broadcast in Japan immediately on Crunchyroll.”
Episodes can be accessed from Crunchyroll.com, the free iPad and iPhone application, the Android application, Roku, Google TV, Boxee, Vizio VIA, WD TV Live and additional set-top channels, and affiliate partners.
Simulcast titles will be able for free with ad-support one week after Japan TV broadcast, with Crunchyroll premium members having same day access immediately after Japan TV broadcast. Viewers can also enjoy Crunchyroll's catalog of over 10,000 episodes for free with ad-support.
Crunchyroll premium members will have access to the largest anime and drama selection, same-day access for simulcasted titles, no advertisements and can be viewed in up to 1080p quality on selected titles.
