Anime-zing! 2012 Announces DJ Jinrei And Other Dance DJs
Davenport, Iowa - March 15, 2012 - Anime-zing!, the largest anime convention in the Quad Cities, is excited to announce headlining DJs for it's 2012 convention will be DJ Jinrei, PREYX, DJ Osos, and Lucid Beats.
Andre Smith, better known under the alias "JINREI" (jin'ray) broke into the scene in 2005 working under the long running promotion Nostalgia.LA with his live mixing on vinyl. Jinrei is originally from Bristol, England and grew up partially here in the US in San Francisco in a Korean district early getting involved in Korean then later Japanese Dance Pop music which was one of the biggest influence to come in his music. Later working with other promotions and headlining DJs, Jinrei mastered his craft with everything EDM from Dance Fusions to French House with Japanese/Korean original remixes.
A well seasoned veteran in putting people on the dance floor whether setting the mood lounge style or hitting the room with rare bangers for a high energy crowd. Jinrei has done shows with Cosmic Gate, DJ.Amaya, ZEDD, DJ.Diamond, Steve Aoki and many more big names as well as running his own nights in LA, OC & Vegas.. Jinrei is that go-to guy to setup the headliner or just plain ole wake the crowd up.
Performing alongside DJ Jinrei will be PREYX, who regularly performs alongside DJ Jinrei, and helps DJ Jinrei with his weekly Ustream music program that features live DJs and interviews from Japan and the local scene. Their channel can be found at www.ustream.tv/channel/animixes-digital-dance
In addition to Jinrei and PREYX, Anime-zing! will feature DJ Oso who is a regular at Midwest anime conventions, in addition to dance club DJ, Lucid Beats.
This year's Anime-zing! Iowa anime convention will feature several special guests, a cosplay masquerade with cash awards, and a huge selection from anime vendors and artists. Last year's event drew over five hundred people to the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport and guests included Johnny Yong Bosch, Eyeshine, Sonny Strait, Robert Axelrod, Trevor Mueller, Russell Lissau, Samurai Dan, and Lady Jillian.
Events at Anime-zing! 2012 will include several autograph signings with the special guests, a dealer's room, multiple rave dances, a fantasy cosplay ball, video gaming tournaments, guest Q&A sessions, panels, workshops, board gaming, collectible card gaming, anime screenings, and a hall cosplay contest. Anime-zing! also features a ConSweet hospitality suite offering attendees free rice, free cup ramen, and free soda all weekend.
