Gurren Lagann Charity Book Digitally Available in North America

Los Angeles, CA, September 7, 2011 - The Gurren Lagann Charity Book, Believe in Yourself, is now available on the Amazon Kindle Store.

Believe in Yourself is a self-published compilation of illustrations by well-known animators and illustrators from Japan and the United States. It features over 40 original illustrations specifically drawn for this charity book. All proceeds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society. First sold in Japan at various events including Comic Market 80 this summer, sales of Believe in Yourself have raised over 3,000,000 yen so far. Now it is available for the first time in digital format in North America.

"The idea for this project came from the compelling need to do something after the Great East Japan Earthquake," said Masahiko Otsuka, project leader of this charitable endeavor. "Several of my friends and staff in the anime industry wanted to contribute somehow, and we came up with creating an illustration book to benefit charity."

The book is almost sold out in Japan, but Otsuka hopes that the digital format would continue to support the efforts to rebuild the area affected by the disaster.
