Pokémon Video Game World Championships Announcement
On August 14th and 15th hundreds of the worlds best Pokémon Video Game and Trading Card Game (TCG) players will descend upon San Diego for the Pokémon World Championships after almost a year of regional gameplay qualifying tournaments around the globe!
We invite your media coverage and your attendance of the first-ever Pokémon Video Game World Championships in which 32 of the top American players (ages 7-44 – divided in two age brackets) will take on the best video game players from Japan, France, Germany and the UK to battle for a chance to compete for the title of world champion. The winners from the TCG and Video Game Tournaments will receive a variety of prizes, trips and customized merchandise including scholarship awards totaling over $100,000.
This is a great free, family spectator event with beloved costumed Pokémon characters Pikachu, Chimchar, Piplup, and Turtwig in attendance along with family and friends to lend their support to the hundreds of competitors from six continents out to prove they are the best. Details are below.
