Veoh Networks Inks Distribution Deal with Funimation Entertainment
Online Video Hub to Offer Exclusive Window to Cult Favorite Gunslinger Girl 2 and Feature New Episodes of Current Favorite Shikabane Hime
Los Angeles, CA, April 6, 2009 – Veoh Networks (www.veoh.com), the world's most comprehensive Internet Television service and FUNimation Entertainment, a US based leader in anime distribution, have entered into a distribution agreement through which Veoh will offer dozens of popular anime titles. Veoh will launch a dedicated FUNimation Channel which will house in one easy-to-navigate place FUNimation's extensive programming. The FUNimation Channel will launch this week with nearly 200 hours of content and is being spotlighted on Veoh's home page.
In addition to the breadth and depth of content, the deal will also give Veoh an exclusive window to screen episodes of the cult hit Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino and make it the destination for new episodes of current anime sensation Shikabane Hime – with new episodes debuting on Veoh within weeks of their Japan television premiere.
