Infinity Studios Acquires Zero
El Cerrito, CA – September 21st, 2005 Today, Infinity Studios LLC is proud to announce that it has acquired the rights for Zero; artwork by Mr. Sung-woo Park and story by Mr. Dar-Young Ihm.
Zero is one of Mr. Sung-woo Park's most recent works which he started halfway through one of his other popular titles, NOW, which Infinity Studios LLC has also licensed. Together along with Mr. Dar-Young Ihm, these two creative minds have created several of the largest hits in Korea with Zero being their most well known.
Based on a PC video game of the same title, Zero is the prequel to the game and encompasses a truly stunning story in which a young man must protect himself and his two sisters from those who are after their special abilities. Having been born in a secret government laboratory that cultivated esper (telepathic) powers within humans, Shuuichi and two sisters, Sumire and Katsumi, are forced to endure a difficult life as test subjects until their escape. Years later, these siblings are still being sought after by unknown organizations that are after Shuuichi powers as he is what they refer to as the “zero-sample” with the ability to cause “zero-shock.”
Zero is truly a masterpiece and offers something for everyone. While it is predominantly an action title, it also shines as a suspense drama and as a love comedy which Mr. Sung-woo Park is so well know for. Even though volume 1 overwhelmingly has an action overture, a large portion of this series actually reverts to a more casual humorous mood similar to that found in his earlier work, NOW. However, the one thing that's consistent throughout this series is that it only keeps getting better with each volume! This title is currently being published in a least 3 other countries world-wide and is one of Korea's biggest hits. Already, a sequel to Zero is currently under production.
Each volume will feature a slip cover along with any color inserts that appeared in the original editions. And as always, each volume will grace Infinity Studios LLC's high quality, white paper (woodfree).
Availability
Zero # 1 will be available in late December 2005 at Borders, Walden Bookstores, your local comic book stores, and on the Infinity Studios website. Each volume will be priced at $9.95.
