VIZ Releases two-volume Inuyasha Ani-Manga

New two-volume graphic novel set captures all the action from the wildly popular feature film in vivid color
San Francisco, CA, December 21, 2004 – VIZ, LLC, one of the leading publishers and distributors of manga and anime for North American audiences, further expands its popular Ani-Manga library with the release of a new two-volume Ani-Manga Box set for Inuyasha: Affections Touching Across Time. The special box set features a pair of full-color, 216-page graphic novels that capture all the action from the successful anime feature film, which was released on DVD and home video by VIZ in September. In addition, the first 25,000 copies will include the exclusive Inuyasha Sota's Hero promo card from the Inuyasha trading card game. The Inuyasha: Affections Touching Across Time Ani-Manga Box set is rated “A,” appropriate for all ages, and will hit store shelves nationwide January 5, 2006, retailing for $24.99.
Inuyasha: Affections Touching Across Time is based on author Rumiko Takahashi's manga about the adventures of Inuyasha, a half-demon dog boy. The feature film was originally released in December 2001 in Japan to critical acclaim. Inuyasha: Affections Touching Across Time is an action-filled, suspenseful story that pits Inuyasha against a powerful demon from China named Menomaru. Two hundred years ago, Inuyasha's father managed to seal Menomaru's evil demon father, Hyoga, away in a tomb, but a shard from the magical Shikon Jewel freed the son, allowing him to escape his imprisonment and threaten the entire land. It now falls to Inuyasha, along with his friends, to find away to stop Menomaru from wrecking havoc on civilization.
