'With A Dog and Cat, Everyday is Fun' Manga Ends 'For Now' in Volume 7

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Hidekichi Matsumoto launched manga in 2010, inspired 2020 TV anime

The official Twitter account for Kodansha and pixiv's Palcy manga app announced on Wednesday that the recently released seventh compiled book volume for Hidekichi Matsumoto's With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun (Inu to Neko Docchimo Katteru to Mainichi Tanoshii) manga will be the final volume "for now." The volume shipped on Wednesday.

Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in English, and it describes the story:

With both a cat and a dog, there's double the antics, double the fun (and double the kibble!) but while Inu and Neko coexist peacefully, they have their own distinct personalities, which play out in unexpected, charming ways during these short-form stories.

Whether you're a dog-person or a cat-person, there's plenty to love about these homegrown sketches of daily life shared with four-legged friends!

Matsumoto launched the manga in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine in 2010. The manga inspired a television anime adaptation that premiered in October 2020. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

Matsumoto's previous Honto ni Atta! Reibai-Sensei and Survival Game Club! manga also both inspired anime. The latter manga ended in December 2016.
