Muse Asia Streams Saiyuki Reload Blast Anime on Saturday

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Anime premiered in July 2017 with Animax Asia simulcast

Muse Asia announced on Thursday that it will stream the television anime adaptation of Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki Reload Blast manga beginning on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. GMT +8, with one new episode daily until November 18.

Muse Asia describes the anime:

Humans and yokai, science and magic... all exist side-by-side on a peaceful continent free of all order and regulation, widely known as "Shangri-La." The balance there was shattered when the Minus Wave caused all the yokai on the continent to rampage, an event known as the "Calamity." Continuing their journey west to stop Gyumaoh's resurrection experiments, the root of all the evil on the continent, the Three Aspects are finally drawing closer to India. But the closer they get, the more pronounced the influence of the Calamity becomes, and the more intense their battles become.

The anime premiered in July 2017. Animax Asia aired a simulcast of the anime in Southeast Asia as it aired in Japan.

The anime was the first Saiyuki anime that Pierrot did not animate. Platinum Vision (Servamp) animated the project. Hideaki Nakano directed the anime, with Kenji Konuta (Library War, Ace of Diamond, Blood Lad) supervising the scripts. Both previously worked together in the same positions on the Aoharu x Machinegun and Servamp anime. Youko Satou (Dog & Scissors) handled the character designs. GRANRODEO performed the opening theme song "move on! Ibara Michi" (move on! Thorny Road), and Luck Life performed the ending theme song "Refrain."
