Cross Infinite World Licenses Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Novels

Cross Infinite World announced on Friday that it has licensed Sōki Tsukishima and Tora Tsukishima's Root Double: Before Crime * After Days light novel series based on Yeti and Regista's game of the same name. The company will release Root Double: Before Crime * After Days √After digitally worldwide on September 30, followed by Root Double: Before Crime * After Days √Before in early 2020.

When disaster strikes an isolated research city, Captain Watase Kasasagi is deployed with his elite rescue squad to handle an underground nuclear reactor meltdown.

Yet the disaster is not entirely what it seems. Radioactive contamination and massive explosions become the least of the squad's concerns when the facility suddenly goes into complete lockdown—and they aren't the only ones inside. Now they're hearing voices, rescuing schoolgirls who shouldn't be there, and finding corpses that had nothing to do with the meltdown!

Kodansha originally published the √After and √Before novels in August 2012. The Root Double: Before Crime * After Days √Current and Root Double: Before Crime * After Days √Double novels then shipped in November 2012 and April 2013, respectively.

Yeti and Regista's original Root Double: Before Crime * After Days game launched for Xbox 360 in June 2012, and for PC in September 2012. The game features four scenarios: √After, √Before, √Current, and √Double. Hinase Momoyama released a manga adaptation from 2013 to 2014.

An updated version of the original visual novel, Root Double: Before Crime * After Days: Xtend Edition, launched for PlayStation 3 in October 2013 and for PlayStation Vita in July 2014. Sekai Games plans to release the game for Nintendo Switch in English this winter.

The Root Double: Before Crime * After Days: Smart Edition game launched for iOS devices in Japan in July 2017 and for Android in November 2017.
