Shiro Amano's Arasā Quest Manga Ends in Next Chapter
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The August issue of issue of Shonengahosha's Young King Ours magazine revealed on Friday that Shiro Amano's Arasā Quest manga will end in the next chapter. The September issue of the magazine will ship on July 30.
The manga's story takes place in an RPG world and focuses on women adventurers who are around 30 years old (the Japanese word "arasā" is an abbreviation for "around thirty"). The series launched in the magazine in February 2017, and Shonengahosha released the second compiled book volume last August.
Amano launched a manga adaptation of the Kingdom Hearts III game on April 25. Yen Press confirmed with ANN earlier this month that it began publishing the manga digitally with its "chapter 0 prologue" chapter on May 29.
Amano has created manga adaptations for Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days games. He also illustrated several novel adaptations for the franchise. North American publisher Tokyopop released all four volumes of Kingdom Hearts, both volumes of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and two volumes of Kingdom Hearts II.
Yen Press then licensed all four manga adaptations in 2013. The company has also released the Shiro Amano: The Artwork of Kingdom Hearts artbook and Kanemaki and Amano's Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories light novel series. Additionally, Yen Press released Kanemaki and Amano's Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep novels.
