Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan TV Anime Shorts Revealed

Anime based on Fukuoka's Hakata ward premieres in summer

Kyushu Asahi Broadcasting announced on Friday that it is producing a short anime titled Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan that will debut on the channel this summer. The anime is inspired by the products of Fukuoka city's historic Hakata ward. The anime will center on a walleye pollock roe (mentaiko) fairy named Pirikarako-chan as she solves the problems of other food fairies in a shopping district in a city similar to Hakata.

The cast includes:

Taketomo Ishikawa is directing the anime, and is also credited for character design and prop design. Shingo Irie is writing and overseeing the anime's script. Manabu Keita is credited for art board and setting. Norifumi Nakamura is the art director. Sakiko Teguramori is in charge of color setting. Tomoya Hosaka is the director of photography. Yuki Honda is the editor. Shiori Yamazaki is the sound director. Tetsuya Kobayashi is composing the music. G-angle is credited for sound production and production.
