Game Freak's Giga Wrecker Platformer Gets Updated Version for PS4, Switch, Xbox One

Rising Star Games announced on Thursday that it will publish Giga Wrecker Alt., an updated version of GAME FREAK's Giga Wrecker game, digitally for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Limited Run Games will release physical editions for PS4 and Switch.
The console version of the "physics-based" action and puzzle platformer will include 20 new puzzle stages, a new companion character, and a new "Ironman" mode. It will also include an "overhaul" to the localization and 11 available languages (Japanese, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese).
The game takes place in a world left ruined after a sudden invasion. Players take on the role of Reika, who must use her ARCHE (Arms Creating and Handling Effect) ability to destroy and reconstruct her surroundings in order to fight the invaders.
GAME FREAK (Pokémon) launched the game for PC via Steam in February 2017. GAME FREAK's "Gear Project" developed the game; under this project developers are encouraged to form their own teams and design games unlike other games the company has previously released. Shinij Hosoe (Ridge Racer, Tekken) composed the music.
Thunderful Publishing announced last summer that it has acquired Rising Star Games.
