Silicon Studio Cancels Development of Trinity Seven Social Game

Game developer and computer graphics company Silicon Studio announced on Friday that it has cancelled development of a Trinity Seven social game for smartphones and PC. The company had announced in the game in December 2017 with a planned release in 2018.
Silicon Studio announced in June that it is executing a divestiture of its game development business by establishing the subsidiary company Creek and River to handle game development and management. Silicon Studio transferred 90% of its stocks to the new subsidiary.
Silicon Studio is perhaps best known for its Bravely Default and Bravely Second: End Layer role-playing games for the Nintendo 3DS. The company also developed and is managing the Terra Battle 2 smartphone game in partnership with Mistwalker. The game launched in September 2017 in Japan and North America, but Mistwalker shut down the North American version in September.
Kenji Saitō and Akinari Nao launched the original Trinity Seven manga in the Monthly Dragon Age magazine in 2011. The manga has inspired several spinoff manga. The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime series that premiered in October 2014, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks released the series with an English dub on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in August 2016.
Crunchyroll also began streaming the Trinity Seven: Eternal Library & Alchemic Girl film in March 2017. The film opened in Japan in February 2017. The manga is inspiring a second anime film.
