Trial version of PS4, PC, Xbox One game to be available in November

Koei Tecmo Games America began streaming a new video on Friday for its Dynasty Warriors 9 (Shin Sangoku Musou 8) game to announce the game's new two-player co-op feature. The video also outlines the game's upcoming DLC and updates, and reveals a new season pass.

The two-player co-op is available now for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game, and will be available for the Xbox One soon. The two-player co-op feature is available online or offline. A trial version for the game will be available on PC on November 1 and on PS4 and Xbox One on November 7. Players of the trial version can also participate in the online co-op feature.

The new season pass will launch on October 30 for the PS4, on November 8 for PC, and "soon after" for the Xbox One.

The game shipped for PS4 in Japan on February 8, and then launched in the West for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 13.

Koei Tecmo America describes the game:

In Dynasty Warriors 9, players will explore China as it existed when feudal warlords vied for dominance over the land – the waning days of the Han dynasty and emergence of the Three Kingdoms era. Setting out to complete various objectives, players will utilize an unprecedented world map to navigate and traverse a variety of different landscapes ranging from vast plains to snow-covered peaks presented with dynamic day/night and weather cycles. Exploring these impressive environments is made more engaging through the ability to adapt to surroundings to gain an upper hand in battle, with players able to use equipment to circumvent obstacles or blend in to avoid conflict.

The open-world game features Critical Missions and Regular Missions. The game also features new attacks, new characters, and other "innovations." New actions include shooting enemies from a distance and using grappling hooks to enter enemy castles. B'z performs the theme song "King Of The Street."
