HIDIVE Launches Xbox One App
posted on by Karen Ressler
HIDIVE announced on Wednesday that it has released an app for Xbox One gaming consoles.
The HIDIVE streaming service launched in June 2017 after acquiring assets previously held by Anime Network Online. The service has primarily streamed titles — including simulcasts and seasonal dubs — that are licensed for home video by Section23 Films and its subsidiaries, though it also has some shows that are streaming exclusive, such as the live-action Lone Wolf and Cub series. Sentai Filmworks president and CEO John Ledford is also the founder and president of HIDIVE.
HIDIVE has since released apps for iOS, Android (with Chromecast support), Apple TV, and Fire TV. The service launched out of beta with a new pricing plan on April 9 and added an annual subscription option on May 1.
