"Dissonance of the Nexus" expansion adds Sachi, Seven, Yuna, Eiji

Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming a trailer for the Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition game and "Dissonance of the Nexus" ("Setsugen no Utahime" or "The Songstress of the Snowy Field" in Japanese) expansion on Sunday. The video previews Sachi, a new playable character in "Dissonance of the Nexus." The company will release the "Complete Edition" for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and Switch in the West in English on January 18.

The company also revealed three new playable characters for the expansion pack in addition to Sachi. Seven from The Lost Song, Yuna from Ordinal Scale, and Eiji from Ordinal Scale will join the roster for "Dissonance of the Nexus." The "Complete Edition" of the game will feature all three previous DLC releases and the new expansion content.

Free updates for Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will add a new dungeon and boss battle to online co-op play, as well as the Death Gun and Lievere to the Hero Battle Quest. A free demo for PS4 and Xbox One will let players try single play in the Wasteland through chapter 2, online co-op, and online battle.

The "Complete Edition" will launch for PS4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch in Japan on January 17.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet launched in Japan on February 8 for PS4 and Xbox One, and in the West on February 23 on the same platforms. The game launched on Steam worldwide on February 23.

The game developed by Dimps is a third-person shooter role-playing game based in the fictional "Gun Gale Online" virtual-reality massively multiple online role-playing game. The fictional game is featured in the Sword Art Online II television anime series as well as the Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online anime. Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is the franchise's first game based in Gun Gale Online. Original light novel creator Reki Kawahara supervised the game's original story. Players' choices and interaction determine the course of the story. Players can create skills and abilities and utilize new weapons.
