Both series debut in Japan in October

Aniplex of America announced on Saturday that it will offer the DAKAICHI -I'm being harassed by the sexiest man of the year- (Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu.) and Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (Seishun Buta Yarō wa Bunny Girl-senpai no Yume wo Minai) anime for its fall 2018 simulcast lineup.

Aniplex of America will premiere DAKAICHI -I'm being harassed by the sexiest man of the year- on October 5 at 12:30 p.m. EDT, with new episodes premiering every Friday. The company will premiere Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai on October 3 at 2:50 p.m. EDT, new episodes premiering every Wednesday. Aniplex of America has not yet revealed the streaming platforms.

DAKAICHI -I'm being harassed by the sexiest man of the year-, the television anime of Hashigo Sakurabi's manga will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 on October 5 at 24:00 (effectively October 6 at 12:00 a.m.), and then it will debut on Sun TV and KBS Kyoto on October 6 at 25:00 (effectively October 7 at 1:00 a.m.).

In the manga's story, Takato Saijyo has reigned as the idol industry's "Most Handsome" for five years — that is, until freshman actor Junta Azumaya comes along. Takato was always considered brusque, while Azumaya's smile wins over admirers in comparison. The whole fiasco drives Takuto to overindulge in alcohol, and his actions catch the attention of the last person he wants to see. To his surprise, Azumaya uses this new info to blackmail Takuto for physical affection.

Naoyuki Tatsuwa (Nisekoi - False Love, Gourmet Girl Graffiti) is directing the anime at CloverWorks, and Yoshimi Narita (Saint Seiya Omega, Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart.) is in charge of series composition. Minako Shiba (Noir, .hack//SIGN, Black Butler) is designing the characters, and she is also credited as chief animation director alongside Senri Kawaguchi and Yu Kurihara.

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, the television anime of Hajime Kamoshida's Seishun Buta Yarō light novel series, will premiere in Japan on ABC TV on October 3 at 26:15 (effectively October 4 morning at 2:15 a.m.). It will then air on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, BS11, and Nagoya Broadcasting Network on October 6.

In the story, there's a rumor about a mysterious phenomenon call "puberty syndrome." For example, Sakuta Azusagawa is a high school student who suddenly sees a bunny girl appear in front of him. The girl is Mai Sakurajima, Sakuta's upperclassman and also a famous actress who has gone on hiatus from the entertainment industry. For some reason, the people around Mai cannot see her bunny-girl figure. Sakuta sets out to solve this mystery, and as he spends time with Mai, he learns her secret feelings. Other heroines who have "puberty syndrome" start to appear in front of Sakuta.

Sōichi Masui (Sakura Quest, Chaika the Coffin Princess) is directing the series at A-1 Pictures' studio CloverWorks. Masahiro Yokotani (Free!, Re:Zero) is in charge of series composition, and Satomi Tamura (animation director for Kiznaiver, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend) is designing the characters. Tamura is also serving as chief animation director with Akira Takata (After the Rain, Natsume's Book of Friends). Kazuya Iwata (episode director for Your Lie in April, Recently, my sister is unusual.) is assistant director, and Yukihiro Shibutani (Case Closed, Natsume's Book of Friends) is art director.
