Kino Takahashi draws manga debuting on Monday

The official Twitter account for Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV game revealed on Friday that a spinoff manga will launch digitally on Famitsu's website on Monday. The manga will focus on the summon Carbuncle (called "Car-kun" in the manga), and is titled Final Fantasy XV: Episode Carbuncle. Kino Takahashi is drawing the manga.

The manga will follow Carbuncle as it goes on its own trip with friends and has a grand adventure. The manga's second chapter will debut on July 30, and then subsequent chapters will debut on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.

Final Fantasy XV went on sale worldwide for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2016. The game's Pocket Edition for iOS and Android launched on February 9.

The game received a Royal Edition for the PS4 and Xbox One on March 6. The new release includes the previously released Season Pass DLC, as well as other features. The Windows Edition also launched on the same day.

Square Enix plans to release four new DLC packs for the game "back to back" between early 2019 in winter and through spring.
