Resident Evil 2 Remake's 5-Minute Gameplay Trailer Streamed
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
CAPCOM began streaming a gameplay video on Wednesday for the remake of its Resident Evil 2 survival horror game.
CAPCOM's brand manager Mike Lunn told the GamingBolt news website at E3 that the game is not planned for the Nintendo Switch "at this time." The game will ship for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 25, 2019.
The remake will have third-person perspective gameplay (changed from the fixed camera angles of the original game), similar to the gameplay introduced in Resident Evil 4.
The original Resident Evil 2 marked the introduction of the character Leon Kennedy, as he finds his first day on the Raccoon City Police Department marked by a sudden zombie infestation in the city. The game also centers on Claire Redfield attempting to find her brother Chris, one of the main characters of the first game.
Resident Evil 7: biohazard, the latest game in the series, shipped for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in January 2017. The game has sold 5.1 million copies as of March 31.
