The Lost Child Gameplay Trailer Shows Dungeon Battles

posted on by Karen Ressler
Game debuts in N. America on June 19, in Europe on June 22

NIS America began streaming an English gameplay trailer for the The Lost Child game on Wednesday. The video shows dungeon exploration and battles.

The game will ship in North America on June 19 and in Europe on June 22. The game will be available physically and digitally for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, as well as digitally for PlayStation Vita. The release will have English and Japanese audio with English text.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron director and character designer Sawaki Takeyasu helmed the project. NIS America describes the game's story, which is connected to El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron:

Occult journalist Hayato Ibuki encounters a strange girl during his investigations into a series of mysterious suicides in Tokyo. She implores that Hayato must live, before bestowing upon him a mystical device that allows him to capture celestial and arcane creatures. He is thrusted into a world beyond our own, home to horrific demons and celestial beings. In it, he must delve into dungeons called Layers and solve the mystery of the device. Where his journey leads him could decide the fate of our world...

The game shipped for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan last August.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron first shipped for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in April 2011, followed by a North American release in August 2011 and a European release in September 2011. The El Shaddai Social Battle game for Android devices launched in 2012. Takeyasu acquired all intellectual property rights for the game from Ignition Entertainment in May 2013, and the El Shaddai Coin&Epic Android and iOS game launched in August 2013.
