Netflix Streams B: The Beginning, A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- Teaser

Full B: The Beginning series, A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- trailer launch on Netflix

Netflix Japan began streaming a teaser (below) for both B: The Beginning and A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- on Friday. The video accompanies the launch of the full B: The Beginning series. The international version of the A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- trailer is also now available on Netflix's streaming service.

Netflix began streaming B: The Beginning worldwide simultaneously on Friday. In the United States, the stream features audio in Japanese, English, Spanish, French, and German, as well as subtitles in English, Japanese, Spanish, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The show has 12 episodes.

Kazuto Nakazawa (Kill Bill's animated segment, Moondrive, Parasite Dolls) and Production I.G are listed as the original creators. Nakazawa and Yoshiki Yamakawa (Little Busters!) directed the series, and Nakazawa also designed the characters and served as key animation supervisor. Katsuya Ishida wrote the screenplay. Yoshihiro Ike (Rage of Bahamut Genesis, Tiger & Bunny) composed the music.

Netflix describes the story:

In a world powered by advanced technology, crime and action unfold in the archipelagic nation of Cremona. Koku, the protagonist. Keith, the legendary investigator of the royal police force RIS. A mysterious criminal organization. A wide variety of characters race through the fortified city as it is beset by the serial killer, Killer B, and a chain of crimes in this suspense drama by director Kazuto Nakazawa and Production I.G.

Netflix is streaming the A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- trailer with English, Japanese, Spanish, French, and German audio in the United States. Subtitles are available in English, Japanese, Spanish, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

The anime will premiere on March 9 and have 12 episodes. Netflix will stream it worldwide.

Kazuya Murata (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos) is directing the science-fiction anime at the studio Bones (My Hero Academia, Eureka Seven). Yuuichi Nomura (Comet Lucifer), who is in charge of the series scripts. Satoshi Ishino (Captain Earth, Date A Live, Excel Saga) is adapting the original character designs by Hanaharu Naruko (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet) for animation, and also serving as chief animation director. Taro Iwashiro (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, The Heroic Legend of Arslan) is composing the music at Lantis.

Netflix describes the "bio science-fiction action" story:

In Japan in the year 2035, an accident known as the "Burst" occurs during a research project, spawning an out-of-control artificial life form called "Matter" that has spread throughout the Kurobe Gorge. The research city that was once hailed as the hope for humanity is cordoned off by the government. Two years later, 15-year-old Aiko Tachibana, who lost her family in the Burst, learns something unbelievable from Yūya Kanzaki, a new student at her school. A secret is hidden within her body, and the answer to the puzzle lies at the "Primary Point" that was the center of the Burst. Aiko resolves to infiltrate the restricted area, escorted by a team of divers and with Yûya as her guide. When boy meets girl with the fate of humanity in their hands, what new truth will come to light?

Hiroaki Michiaki's manga adaptation of the anime launched in Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine on November 25.
