PC version of remaster debuted on Thursday

Square Enix began streaming a launch trailer on Thursday for the PC version of its Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age game. The game launched on PC on Thursday.

The PC version adds support for 60 frames per second, compatibility with 21:9 ultra-wide monitor and multiple monitor support, three background music options, a configuration option to maximize license points and money owned, and a menu feature that allows for easier access to New Game Plus.

The PC version's Collector's Edition costs US$149.99, and is only available through Square Enix's online store. The edition contains a set of busts featuring the Judge Magisters, a soundtrack selection, Steelbook with Collector's Edition-exclusive art, six art cards featuring the game's characters, and a digital code for the PC version of the game.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age shipped for PlayStation 4 in North America, Europe, and Asia last July. The game is a high-definition remaster of the international version of Final Fantasy XII. The PS4 game's combined shipments and digital sales worldwide have surpassed 1 million copies.

Square Enix released Final Fantasy XII for the PlayStation 2 in 2006 in Japan and North America, and in 2007 in Europe. The Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job System version of the game shipped in Japan only in 2007.
