Diabolik Lovers Zero Project Revealed

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Rejet previously revealed all-new game project was in development for franchise

Rejet revealed on Saturday that a new "Diabolik Lovers Zero" project is in the works for its Diabolik Lovers franchise. The company describes the project as "New Chapter '0'," and said it will reveal more details soon. The company is streaming a promotional video for the project.

The Twitter account teased the project with the words, "No matter what, do not make eye contact with that red, wet portrait."

Idea Factory's Otomate game brand had revealed an all-new game project for the franchise in September. Rejet hasn't confirmed if the new game project is "Diabolik Lovers 0."

Idea Factory and Rejet's Diabolik Lovers Grand Edition PlayStation 4 game will ship in Japan on March 29. The game will include the Diabolik Lovers Limited V Edition game that originally shipped for the PlayStation Vita in December 2013, and the Diabolik Lovers More, Blood Limited V Edition game that originally shipped for the PlayStation Vita in January 2015.

Rejet's original Diabolik Lovers vampire drama CD and PlayStation Portable game project centers around the six sadistic Sakamaki vampire brothers. Yui Komori is a positive-thinking girl who nevertheless is troubled by seeing spirits and experiencing poltergeist phenomena. In her second year in high school, she transfers to a new school — a night school for entertainers and celebrities — due to her father's work. There are rumors that there are vampires among the student body, and Yui ends up living with the Sakamaki brothers.

The studio ZEXCS adapted the franchise into a television anime in 2013, and the second season, Diabolik Lovers More, Blood, premiered in September 2015. Crunchyroll streamed both series as they aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks released both anime on home video with an English dub.

The franchise has also inspired two stage plays and an upcoming third play that will run from January 24-28 in Tokyo.
