Doukoku Soshite... Game Gets PS4, PS Vita Remaster After 20 Years

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Release adds new system, updated graphics, story revisions

This week's issue of Kadokawa's Famitsu magazine is revealing on Thursday that El Dia's Doukoku Shoshite... romance suspense adventure game is getting a remaster for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The remaster, which El Dia first teased last November, will launch in Japan on April 26.

The remaster will feature a “Trap Divergent Story” system, high-resolution graphics, additional unused event CG, revisions by the original scenario writer, and a hint mode. The PS4 version will cost 7,800 yen (about US$69), and the PS Vita version will cost 6,800 yen (US$61).

Data East Corporation released the original game for Sega Saturn in 1998. The Revive... ~Sosei~ sequel debuted for the Sega Dreamcast in 1999.

In the original game, the story begins when a male high school student is talking to his female classmate while riding a bus. The bus is involved in an accident, and the male student becomes unconscious. When he wakes, he discovers that he and his classmates are trapped in a mansion. People are being killed, and the student must solve the mystery of the mansion to protect those around him.
