Live-Action Futari Monologue Web Series' Promo Video Streamed
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The official YouTube channel for Cygames began streaming a new promotional video on Friday for the live-action web series inspired by Yū Tsunamino's Futari Monologue manga. Cygames also began streaming the series' first episode in July.
The series will stream on AbemaTV's AbemaGOLD Channel beginning in October, but the first episode began streaming early on July 28.
The series stars Haruka Fukuhara (Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode's Cure Custard) as Hinata Omimura and Miki Yanagi (Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger's Sera/Zyuohger Shark) as Mikage Mikuriya. Kenji Kurata is directing and writing the script.
In the story, Hinata is an introverted high school girl and Mikage is the "gal" who sits next to her in class. Hinata realizes Mikage is her friend from elementary school, and she wants to strike up the friendship again.
Tsunamino's ongoing manga series launched last October on Cygames' Cycomi website. The manga was included when, in May, Cygames and Kodansha announced a partnership to publish manga from Cycomi in print. The first compiled volume (pictured right) shipped on July 28.
