2D fighting game for PS4, Xbox One, PC arrives in early 2018

Shueisha's V Jump magazine streamed new gameplay videos for Bandai Namco Entertainment and Arc System Works' Dragon Ball FighterZ 2D fighting game during its Niconico Live streaming program on Monday. The videos feature three-versus-three fights between the franchise's characters.

Bandai Namco Entertainment also opened a teaser website for the game. Bandai Namco Entertainment and Arc System Works officially revealed the game during Xbox's E3 press conference on Sunday.

The three-versus-three fighting game will arrive for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2018. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe began streaming the same reveal trailer that reveals the same early 2018 release date for Europe.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:

Arc System Works delivers an explosive, action-packed game that combines classic 2D fighting with advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are ripped straight out of the DRAGON BALL series.

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe stated that the game is getting a closed beta for the PS4 and Xbox One "before the end of the summer."

Bandai Namco Entertainment had posted a press release on Friday that announced the game, but the company took down the announcement soon afterward. The press release had stated that the game would be available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Neutral Spanish, Polish, Russian, and Korean in North, Central, and South America; Europe; Asia; and Japan.
