posted on by Andrew Osmond
Also, dual format Metropolis, Zavvi-exclusive Steelbooks of Spirited Away and Laputa

On Monday March 13, Funimation will release Mikagura School Suite as a Dual Format Blu-ray/DVD. In the series, high school student Eruna Ichinomiya enters the Mikagura Academy dreaming of a boarding school life filled with beauty. However, Eruna finds out that in the culture clubs, there is a rule that battles that are fought with special powers decide a club representative's treatment. Through various circumstances, Eruna becomes a representative of a club, and is thrown into the fray.

Animatsu will release the series Triage X. Yen Press described the story:

Mochizuki General Hospital boasts some of the most well-trained (and well-endowed) nurses in town. But though these ladies spend much of their day battling disease, their after-hours are spent fighting a very different sort of sickness... Under the leadership of the hospital chairman, a handful of staff members and local teenagers form a group of mercenary assassins, targeting the "cancers" of society and excising those individuals before their wickedness spreads.

Akio Takami and Takao Kato directed the anime at Xebec, and Katsuhiko Takayama supervised the series scripts.

Eureka is releasing a dual-format standard edition of Metropolis, directed by Rintarō and scripted by Katsuhiro Ōtomo from the manga by Osamu Tezuka.

In the film, Kenichi and his detective uncle, Shunsaku Ban, leave Japan to visit Metropolis, in search of the criminal, Dr. Laughton. However, when they finally find Dr. Laughton, Kenichi and Shunsaku find themselves seperated and plunged into the middle of a larger conspiracy. While Shunsaku searches for his nephew and explanations, Kenichi tries to protect Tima (a mysterious young girl), from Duke Red and his adopted son Rock, both of whom have very different reasons for wanting to find her.

In addition, the Zavvi website is releasing Limited Edition Blu-ray Steelbook editions of two Studio Ghibli films directed by Hayao Miyazaki: Spirited Away and Laputa: Castle in the Sky.
