NisiOisin's Works Get Crossover Manga Debuting This Week
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The official Twitter account for information about NisiOisin revealed on Thursday that the writer's multi-franchise crossover manga Seishun Kijinden! 240 Gakuen (Legend of Eccentric Youth! 240 Academy) will launch in the March issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on Thursday. Shibamochi is drawing the four-panel manga, and the various novel series' illustrators are credited with the original character designs.
The "240" in the series' title is pronounced "Nishio" as a reference to the writer's name. The manga will include characters from NishiOisin's works such as the Monogatari, Zaregoto, and Bishōnen series. The manga celebrates the 15th anniversary of NishiOisin's writing career.
NisiOisin and Akira Akatsuki will end their Shōnen Shōjo (roughly translated, "Illness Boy, Illness Girl") manga in the April issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine on March 4. Yō Asami's manga adaptation of NisiOisin's Okitegami Kyōko no Bibōroku (The Notebook of Kyōko Okitegami) novels will end its "first season" in the April issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine on March 6.
